Players need ideal gaming conditions in order to get a foot up on their competition and stay focused on their game play. But high performance conditions do not have to come at the expense of protection. Norton and The Premier League are proud to join forces so that players remain fully protected from the wide variety of threats they are exposed to when connected to the Internet. When Silent Mode is enabled, Norton Internet Security suppresses all alerts and suspends the background activities so players can stay concentrated on the game.”

I miss DDoS protection! That’s the one thing that we actually could use some protection from a company like Norton!

I feel this is a double edged sword.
On the one hand, I’m really impressed that this kind of interest is being shown to a video game. It’s about time e-sports was taken seriously and with a multi-million dollar backer, that’s about to become a reality.

On the other side of things, Symantec antivirus offers terrible products for home users. Their antivirus solution is sub par and over cumbersome. Some of their older versions of software can’t just be uninstalled either (you need to download a tool specifically to remove the software). This would be understandable if they could compete with other antivirus providers but they just don’t. Google top 10 antivirus for the past 5 years. If Norton appears once, I will actually take back everything I’ve ever said about them.

I’m glad they’ve taken advantage of this marketing, but at the same time, I feel sad knowing that people will see their advertising and expect a superior product. A big step forwards for e-sports. A big step back for the consumer.

Wow dude, when was the last time you used Norton?

I’d agree with your comments YEARS ago, but they aren’t relevant anymore. Symantec rewrote Norton from scratch a few years back and it shows. Do yourself a favour, get rid of the stigma and check it out. This is coming from a hardcore gamer by the way…

Well, we tested their products before starting any kind of partnership and it looks fairly well. At least, way better than what it used to be years ago. We will publish smthing about that very soon.

Hey this is somewhat of off topic but I wwas wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or
if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a log
soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get
advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
