It contains a clear and professional looking frame which will make you think you’re competing in the Premier League alongside the pros, while the recognizable light-blue hue will certainly bring some extra visual appeal to the already well-conceived in-game graphics. For those that own a Premier Package, this HUD could be a nice addition to the backpack, as a way to add a bit of diversity and switch between the two equally awesome HUDs. Demon Edge Cup

The Demon Edge Cup has finished! (click to enlarge) In the first of the 8 cups of the $15,500-worth TPL Season 5, overcame in the Grand Final and grabbed the 1st place, as well as maximum points! The 3rd place decider went to ‘s way, while had to settle for 4th place. It was an exciting Dota 2 day (and a long one, for the casters) full of action-packed matches – in case you missed some of them, you can check out the VODs where you’ll find each and every match played so far. Another option that will enable you to re-experience the thrill, along with buying the ticket and watching the replays in-game, is the rebroadcasting of matches that just started on our live stream, and will be going on for the following days. The all new Season 5 approaching!

Hear hear! The Premier League is back with a Season 5 tournament fueled by our partner Norton by Symantec. This great cooperation is bringing you a $15,500 prizepool, an entirely refreshing format, eight of the best teams from both Europe and America, as well as a whole bunch of other goodies we don’t want to uncover just yet! The poster below, though, should reveal the most important things for you to know: The format Let’s lay it out a bit then, shall we? Season 5 will start the 20th of May and will feature a total of 7 one-day double-elimination cups through which teams will seek to enter the $15,5000 worth SuperCup. Each cup will bring fixed amounts of points to help decide the top 4 ranking. It is not a minor task for the teams, since in all of the cups (except the SuperCup) all matches previous to the finals will be played in a best-of-1 format, with each cup final being decided by a best-of-3 match. In the SuperCup, which will start July 20th, best-of-3 is the format previous to the best-of-5 grand final match that will finally split the staggering prizepool: 1st $9,000 2nd $3,000 3rd $2,000 4th $1,000 Yes, $500 is missing from this, but we can’t say more right now. Someone will win it, that’s for sure, but who – it remains to be known. The coverage This all will be going on for almost 2 months, with 70ish rollercoaster knockout matches played in total. To make the experience even fuller, we’ve invited our David “Blaze” Dillon to provide professional commentary, this time with the returning David “Triumphofman” Rutter as the co-caster. Update4: After 2 months and more than 90 matches the TPL Season 4 Champion has been crowned… and it’s ! Congratulations to the guys from Sweden for their impressive and solid gameplay throughout the whole season. We also want to congratulate and for their awesome play and manners and thank every team, player, as well as casters and other folks that participated in the tour organization. If you wanna watch or rewatch these great moments, replays are all available through the Dota TV ticket. VODs & rebroadcasts of the finals will follow! Hope you enjoyed the season! Alliance and Dignitas battle for fourth!

Today is the day for Swedish and American fans of competitive Dota 2. and are thrown in the battle pit, in the manner of ancient gladiators where the victor is the one who remains standing. Even though the losers of this match won’t be rid of their lives, they could be denied entry to the Season 4 Playoffs (in case the Swedish prevail) or simply have an immensely harder time getting there (in case of American victory). The clash The last match of the regular part of the Premier League Season 4. After this is settled, we will head into the final Playoffs phase, where top 4 teams will meet to settle their differences (if you’d want to put it a bit more softly) and distribute the grand prize among each other. The 4th spot is still undecided and if wins, they will claim that spot. In case comes out on top, we will have to break the ties with a mini-tournament. Previous encounters So far they’ve met 6 times in the past – mostly in top tiers of big tournaments – and the score is completely even. Each team took the win from the other half of the matches, and lost the other half. If we were looking at some inter-competitional best-of-7 (as far as matches go) between these two, this would be the deciding match. Allstars Both teams have a player from their respective rosters selected for the Premier League Allstars Team for this season and this is proof enough that both teams have exhibited major performances up until now, as individually, so as a whole.
